Terms for using RDS CAL Store
These Terms of Service explain the rules that apply when you use our website, place an order, create an account, contact support, or purchase Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Client Access Licenses from RDS CAL Store.
Last updated: 26 August 20261. Agreement to these Terms
By accessing our website, creating an account, contacting us, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy, and any additional policies or notices shown during checkout.
If you are placing an order on behalf of a company, client, organization, or MSP customer, you confirm that you have authority to place the order and provide the relevant business, customer, or licensee details.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the website or place an order.
References to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean RDS CAL Store. References to “you” mean the person, company, organization, MSP, consultant, or customer using the website or placing an order.
2. Products, license use and Microsoft terms
RDS CAL Store sells Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Client Access Licenses for Windows Server Remote Desktop Services deployments. Products are offered by server version and CAL type, in standard packs of 1, 5, 10, 20 and 50 CALs.
RDS CALs are access licenses
RDS CALs license user or device access to Remote Desktop Services. They do not include a Windows Server operating system license, server installation, hosting, hardware, remote desktop server configuration, or any other software not expressly listed on the product page.
User CALs and Device CALs
User CALs are generally used when licensing named users. Device CALs are generally used when licensing specific computers, terminals, shared workstations, or fixed devices. If you order the wrong type, you can switch it free within 60 days — see section 7.
Version and downgrade rights
Higher-version RDS CALs may include downgrade rights for earlier supported Windows Server RDS deployments. For example, Windows Server 2025 RDS CALs can be used with Windows Server 2025, 2022, 2019, and 2016 RDS environments. Older RDS CALs cannot be used with newer Windows Server versions.
Microsoft license terms
Your use of Microsoft products, software, and licenses may also be subject to applicable Microsoft license terms, product terms, and technical requirements. Microsoft, Windows Server, and Remote Desktop Services are trademarks or registered trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. RDS CAL Store is a trading name of Sysvista Solutions, a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office at 399 High St, London E15 4QZ, United Kingdom. RDS CAL Store is an independent license supplier and is not Microsoft.
3. Orders, pricing and payments
By placing an order, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and authorized. We may request additional information if needed to process, verify, support, or protect an order.
Order acceptance
Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance. We may decline, cancel, or hold an order for review where there are payment, verification, or availability issues, or other reasonable business reasons.
Pricing and availability
Prices, product availability, quantity limits, and product descriptions may change from time to time. We try to keep information accurate, but errors may occur. If a material pricing or product error affects your order, we may contact you to correct the issue, cancel the order, or offer an alternative.
Taxes and charges
We do not charge VAT or sales tax on RDS CAL licenses. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay us.
Your own bank or payment provider may apply duties, bank fees, currency conversion fees, or other charges, which remain your responsibility.
Payment processing
Payments are handled entirely by PayPal. Debit and credit card payments are also processed through PayPal checkout. We never see or store your payment card details. Payment confirmation, transaction IDs, fraud checks, and payment status are processed by PayPal under its own terms.
4. Fast digital delivery, license details and customer accounts
Products are delivered digitally. After successful checkout and order processing, your license document, invoice, setup guidance, and a link to an installation video are delivered by email within 15 minutes after successful checkout. A copy of your license and invoice may also be available in your account.
Immediate supply and cancellation rights
Your order is covered by our 60-day full money-back guarantee, which is more generous than the statutory minimum. Because you ask us to supply the license details immediately at checkout, the 14-day cancellation right that normally applies to distance purchases of digital content no longer applies once they have been delivered. Your rights where licenses are faulty, not as described, or not delivered are unaffected. See our Refund Policy for full details.
Email delivery
Order, account, license, and support emails are sent to the email address provided during checkout. You are responsible for providing the correct email address and checking spam, junk, or security filters if an expected email is not received.
Customer account
An account may be created automatically after purchase so you can access and download your license details later, view order details, and manage eligible CAL corrections from your account. Login details or account access instructions may be sent by email.
Licensee details
Please enter accurate business, customer, or licensee details at checkout. These details may be used for order records, license document preparation, support, and future order verification.
5. Installation support and 60-day full money-back guarantee
Your purchase includes license installation support from our technical team. Support is intended to help with practical license installation or licensing configuration questions related to the RDS CALs purchased from us.
60-day full money-back guarantee
Your order is protected for 60 days from the date of purchase. If your license is not delivered, cannot be accessed, was supplied incorrectly by us, is unusable for the product purchased, or has a licensing configuration issue that our support team cannot fix, we will make it right through re-delivery, correction, replacement, technical support, or a refund. If we cannot resolve a covered issue, we refund you in full. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
To help us resolve an issue, we may ask for reasonable information such as the Windows Server version, CAL type, error message, screenshot, deployment details, order number, or confirmation of the licensing problem.
What the protection is designed for
The protection is designed for qualifying delivery, license installation, or licensing configuration issues connected to an eligible order purchased from RDS CAL Store. It is not intended to replace customer-side server administration, unsupported infrastructure remediation, or broader Microsoft environment consulting.
Support limitations
Unless expressly agreed in writing, installation support does not extend to wider server administration — server build-out, Active Directory or RDS farm design, network, security, third-party software, cloud platform, or on-site work.
6. Corrections, refunds and order changes
Switching between User and Device CALs
User and Device CALs are priced identically, so converting between the two is free within 60 days of purchase. Choose the CAL type you need from your account and the same license is converted to that type. The self-service conversion is available once per order; if you need a further change, contact us and we will help.
If you purchased the wrong Windows Server version
Self-service correction from your account covers the CAL type only. If RDS CALs were purchased for the wrong Windows Server version, contact us with your order number and we will review the order and help under our 60-day full money-back guarantee.
Refund requests
Refund requests are handled under our 60-day full money-back guarantee, applicable consumer rights, and the specific facts of the order. If a covered delivery, access, supplied-license, or RDS licensing issue cannot be resolved through re-delivery, correction, replacement, technical support, or self-service correction, we refund you in full. Refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible.
Moneyback does not cover a working license that you simply no longer want. A license that fails to activate, returns a licensing error, or does not match the product purchased is always covered, even if you attempted to activate it.
Incorrect information
If incorrect checkout, email, business, licensee, or order information is provided, contact us as soon as possible. We will try to assist where practical, but we cannot guarantee changes once delivery, license document preparation, a self-service correction, or other order processing has already occurred.
| Situation | Typical option | Important note |
|---|---|---|
| Wrong CAL type purchased | Convert between User and Device CALs once, within 60 days | Free of charge, because both CAL types are priced the same. The same license is converted. |
| Wrong Windows Server version purchased | Contact us so we can review the order and help | Covered by 60-day full money-back guarantee if it cannot be resolved. |
| Delivery or license detail access issue | Support review and resolution | Check your account, order emails, and spam or junk folders first. |
| Licensing configuration issue | Technical installation support | Covered if unresolved after reasonable support steps. |
| License that did not work and cannot be fixed | Covered by 60-day full money-back guarantee | A license that never worked is not treated as used; it is a covered issue and is refunded in full. |

Special procurement or centralized licensing workflows
Standard RD Licensing Manager deployments can purchase directly through the website. If your organization requires VLSC workflows, centralized licensing portals, audit review, or special procurement handling, contact us before purchasing so we can confirm the right license format for your setup.
8. Website use, accounts and acceptable behaviour
You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with checkout or account systems, attempt unauthorized access, submit false information, abuse support channels, scrape content, bypass security controls, or use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
Account security
You are responsible for keeping your account login details secure and for activity that occurs through your account. Contact us promptly if you believe your account or order information has been accessed without permission.
Website content and intellectual property
Website content, text, layout, images, design elements, guides, and branding are owned by RDS CAL Store or its licensors unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse website content for commercial purposes without written permission.
Chat assistant
Our website provides an automated chat assistant. Its responses are generated automatically, are provided for general guidance only, and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They do not form part of these Terms, do not vary our Refund Policy, and are not a binding commitment by us.
Where a chat response conflicts with these Terms, our Refund Policy, our Privacy Policy, or your order confirmation, those documents apply. For anything order-specific, including pricing, corrections, refunds, or licensing decisions, please contact us at [email protected] so our team can confirm in writing. Please do not enter passwords, payment card details, or license keys in the chat.
Third-party services and links
Our website may use or link to third-party services such as payment providers, security tools, email providers, video platforms, analytics tools, or support systems. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control.
9. Liability, disclaimers and legal terms
No exclusion of non-excludable rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights, remedies, warranties, or liabilities that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including statutory consumer rights where they apply.
Business use and technical environments
RDS CALs are technical licensing products used in Windows Server Remote Desktop Services environments. We are not responsible for customer-side infrastructure issues, unsupported server environments, incorrect CAL type selection, third-party software issues, cloud provider issues, network issues, security policy restrictions, or Microsoft environment misconfiguration that is not caused by the license supplied by us.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for the affected product in that order. We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, loss of revenue, business interruption, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or consequential losses, except where the law does not allow such limitation.
Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including payment provider outages, hosting failures, cyberattacks, internet outages, supplier delays, legal restrictions, natural events, or other disruptions beyond our control.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer laws in your country or region provide otherwise. Courts or dispute bodies with appropriate jurisdiction may apply depending on your location and the nature of the dispute.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Terms in force at the time of purchase generally apply to that purchase unless a change is required by law or is clearly beneficial to the customer.
